History

It all began with the Golf Club.

Palma Sola Golf Club
Grand opening days December 7 & 8, 1968.

In the beginning there was the new Palma Sola golf course. The Grand Opening was on December 7th, 1968 and it soon became one of the best places to be in West Bradenton. The special promo price of $1.00 for greens fees was a huge hit with golfers.

The golf course closed after nearly 36 years of play. The clubhouse was demolished on September 13, 2004 to make way for the brand new Palma Sola Trace planned community which opened in 2005-2006. From that adventurous beginning, our community now has 546 lovely condos, villas, and single family homes spread over many acres of a lush tropical landscape. Read the special edition of the community newsletter below for the details on our heritage.

Historical Heritage of the Palma Sola Trace Golf Course

Besides the beautiful environment, the community is nicely located in West Bradenton for easy access to shopping, dining, the beach, and the local airport. Our homes are comfortable and well designed to deal with Florida’s endless summer. Every unit has its own garage and parking for easy access to the home and it includes all outside landscaping and yard maintenance.
